Garrott Construction was founded in Peoria, Illinois, by Ashton's father in 1976. Growing up, Ashton spent his summers and school breaks working for his father and learning the trade. After graduating from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ashton decided to start his own Garrott Construction in Central Missouri, in 2016.
In 2019, Cassie joined the team as our in-house interior designer and draftsman. Since then, Garrott Construction has transitioned from its roots in remodeling and home repair to focusing on new construction. We have leveraged our experiences fixing past builders' mistakes to enhance the quality of our new homes and buildings, providing our customers with top-notch construction.
In contrast to much of the construction industry, which has shifted to a sales-based model prioritizing the sale of homes over the building process, we remain dedicated to construction. We handle a significant portion of our work in-house, allowing us to maintain high standards throughout the building process. If Garrott Construction is building it, you can be assured that Ashton will be on-site, personally driving more nails than anyone else from start to finish.

Ashton grew up in Peoria, Illinois, where he spent countless hours alongside his father, learning the intricacies of various construction projects. These formative experiences not only imparted valuable skills but also instilled in him a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship. After completing his degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Missouri, Ashton felt a strong calling to honor his father's legacy by starting his own business in Central Missouri. What sets Ashton apart from typical contractors is his hands-on approach; he actively engages in every aspect of his projects, often taking on tasks himself to ensure quality and precision. His commitment to excellence is evident in the meticulous attention he pays to detail as he strives to create structures that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. When he isn’t on the job site, Ashton immerses himself in exploring new materials and construction techniques, continually seeking to innovate and stay ahead in the industry. His passion for learning allows him to introduce fresh ideas that enhance his work. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and hunting.
Cassie Long
Office Manager, Interior Designer
Cassie grew up in Fulton, Missouri. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Central Missouri, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Interior Design. With six years of experience in the flooring industry and an additional year in the paint industry, she built practical skills that enhanced her understanding of materials and aesthetics. In 2019, Cassie joined Garrott Construction as a full-time team member, where she plays a key role in design and project management. She collaborates with clients to help them navigate the selection of various finish options, ensuring theirs visions are realized. In addition to her design work, she actively engages in hands-on tasks in the field, gaining valuable insights and experience. Outside of her professional commitments, Cassie always has her nose in a book.
